Write to tarasenko.by@icloud.com — bug reports, questions, feature requests, anything. Podo is made by one person, Siarhei Tarasenka, and every message is read and answered, usually within two business days.

When reporting a problem, it helps a lot to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the app version (Settings › About in the app), and what you expected to happen instead.

The app shows no data at all

Podo does not count anything by itself — it reads what your iPhone and Apple Watch already write to Apple Health. If every number is zero, health access is most likely switched off. Open Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Podo and turn on the categories you want to see, or use the Apple Health section inside the app’s own settings.

A brand new iPhone with no history in Apple Health will also show an empty screen until it has recorded a day of activity.

Steps don’t match Apple Health or my watch

Several devices can write steps for the same period — your iPhone, your Apple Watch, and third-party bands. Apple Health de-duplicates them in its own way, which is why two apps can show slightly different totals for the same day.

Podo lets you choose which source to trust: open the data-sources screen in settings and give priority to your wearable. Tapping a number in the app also shows where it came from and how it was calculated.

Sleep is missing or looks wrong

Sleep stages come from Apple Health, so a full hypnogram requires a device that tracks sleep — usually an Apple Watch worn overnight with Sleep Tracking enabled.

No watch? You can enter sleep by hand: open the sleep screen, add a session on the dial, and the app will treat the longest morning session as your main night and shorter ones as naps. Naps are always counted separately from the night and do not appear in the hypnogram.

A workout has no distance or no route

Some trackers record a workout but never write its distance or GPS route to Apple Health. When that happens, Podo tries to reconstruct the distance from other sources covering the same time window, and shows nothing rather than a number it cannot trust.

Workouts recorded in Podo itself always include the route, as long as location access was granted while recording.

Deleting a workout fails

Apple Health only lets an app delete the workouts it wrote itself. A workout recorded by another app or by your watch has to be deleted from the Health app: Browse › Activity › Workouts, swipe the entry, Delete.

The widget is not updating

iOS decides when widgets refresh, so a few minutes of delay is normal. If it seems stuck for longer, make sure Background App Refresh is enabled for Podo in Settings › General › Background App Refresh, and open the app once — that always forces a fresh snapshot.

The morning digest

The digest is a short written review of your previous day. It is the only feature that sends anything off your device, and what it sends is an anonymised summary of that single day — no name, no email, no device identifier. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.

If the digest does not appear, check that your iPhone is online — unlike the rest of the app, this one feature needs a connection.

Subscriptions, restoring and refunds

Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. Manage or cancel yours in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Reinstalled the app or switched to a new iPhone? Use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen while signed in with the same Apple Account.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, write to us anyway and we will help you sort it out.

Deleting your data

There is no account and nothing stored on our servers, so there is nothing for us to erase. Revoke health access in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health, manage what Apple Health itself keeps in the Health app, and delete Podo to remove every value cached on the device.
